TMG Artists Receiving National TV Exposure
Viral videos in themselves can be used in a number of ways to promote an artists music, from being uploaded to their MySpace page, to being played before a performance, and even going straight to YouTube and other video sites. Tate Music Groups team of Multimedia Producers will build the Viral Commercial around the artist’s music, using their photos and album artwork to capture potential consumers and build excitement and visibility for the music.
Not only do we hand over the video to our artist in order for them to use as they see fit but Tate Music Group also guarantees National and Regional TV exposure on major music TV networks (MTV, MTV2, VH1, CMT, BET, FUSE...). TMG is running national and regional commercial spots based around album release dates, events or for a blanket periods of time.
Just another reason Tate Music Group is poised to take over the music industry!

Times A Wastin
So you want to be signed to a record label? Join the ever increasing club! But what are you looking for in that label? Are you looking for the best chance for bookings, promotions, marketing, national distribution, and personal support without going bankrupt? Or are you willing to sign with a label with a big name just for bragging rights regardless of how much money and rights you’re likely to lose?
Before you start shopping for a label you need to do your homework. I won’t go into a huge lesson here, there are plenty of books written on the subject already. But if you would like to take a huge gamble and shop your music to the big names who are NOT going to book shows for you at no cost, who are NOT going to promote and market you at no cost, who are going to make you buy your own CDs at ridiculously high costs, who MIGHT give you a big advance only to make you pay every penny back from sales even if that means you never see an ounce of profit from the project you just poured your heart and soul into, who WILL take the rights to your music for a long, long, long time….if this all sound fantastic to you…well, let’s just say it speaks volumes.
Tate Music Group is about you as the artist, helping you achieve the goals and dreams you have. Do we see money out of the deal? Of course. We’re a business, just like you. But we reduce your risk and give you the greatest opportunity for success and profits in industry, period!
Who else agrees with us? Try Jim Halsey, (manager of greats like Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Clint Black, and even Kid Rock), Jim Mazza (President/Founder of Capitol Records and EMI), Chuck Tilley (Founder of Atlanta Fest and President of Tilley and Associates), Regie Hamm (TMG artist and Platinum songwriter for David Cook, 2008 American Idol winner and other greats like Clay Crosse, Mercy Me, Point of Grace, etc.), Jeff Chandler (TMG artist and platinum songwriter for Casting Crowns) and the list is growing and growing. Even some legends in the industry, Kenny Rogers and Neal McCoy, are looking to come on board with Tate!
So what do you, as an aspiring artist do now? First, you better have the goods! We receive hundreds of submission every week and simply can’t offer every artist our contract. We have to be very selective with who we are willing to promote and invest into. But if you believe you have the goods, then send us your demo and let us check it out.
This industry is crowded and moving fast. It’s all about timing and momentum so if you’re ready to get serious about your music career then get moving…times-a-wastin’!

TMG Sponsors Billboard World Song Contest!
MUSTANG, OK – This week, Oklahoma-based record label Tate Music Group (TMG) has confirmed a new strategic sponsor partnership with the renowned Billboard World Song Contest.
As a sponsor for the contest, TMG will select one Grand Prize Winner to be awarded a TMG new artist development contract that includes recording a full album, event booking, and radio and web promotion. The agreement also expands the competition terms to include prizes for the top 36 entries in the contest, based on submissions from artists worldwide.
The Billboard World Song Contest was the first competition of its kind, and has made great strides in exposing first-time, unknown artists to the world through the Billboard World Song Contest Winners’ CD sent to music executives, producers, publishers, agents, promoters, and other music industry moguls.
Tate Music Group President Ryan Tate anticipates adding fresh new talent to their label, including their recent contract with American Idol songwriting contest winner Regie Hamm, who penned the number-one song, “The Time of My Life.”
“We are excited to announce this partnership and hope we can continue working hand-in-hand with Billboard World Song Contestto bring exposure to unknown talent across the world,” Tate said.
With this agreement, TMG joins Billboard World Song Contest partners CASIO, D’Addario Strings, TAXI-The Independent A& R Vehicle, Indie Band Manager, Discmakers, CD Baby, Blublocker Sunglasses, GoGirlsMusic.com, The Halsey Institute, and Sonicbids.com.

TMG artist, Nisha, in Music Connection Magazine!
Tate Music Group is proud of our artist, Nisha, and grateful for her kind words! Read the article about her in this months, Music Connection Magazine, check out page 26.
http://musicconnection.com/digital/
“Like any dedicated artist, sexy R&B singer Nisha Hester focused her energy on recording a masterpiece rather than seeking the perfect label. In her corner, however, was former manager,
Although TMG needs to hear at least 3 songs in order to choose an artist, one song in particular got the attention of their signing rep. “Where Did The Love Songs Go” had such an impact that she even included a special introduction in the contract that mentioned the impression-making track as the reason TMG wished to sign her.
‘There are several things I love about TMG,’ explains the rising diva. ‘I like the support and freedom they give to their artists. They allow their artists to maintain all the ownership - as far as songwriting royalties go, we own everything.’ Plus, she adds, ‘They give the highest royalty payments of all the labels out there.’ Also, Hester felt the weren’t hiding an agenda. “We have the freedom to cancel anytime we’re not happy. We can work with other third-party companies,’ she marvels. ‘We have so much freedom!’
There had been another label under consideration, but they asked for a significant chunk of money up front. Weighing the two options, it was clear which company offered the better deal. In fact, TMG’s deal was so generous that she signed without any negotiations.
‘It was almost too good to be true,’ she says. ‘I really didn’t have to think too much about it.’ The agreement itself goes a year and includes an option to renew. Hester recommends other artists to find the label of their dreams; she insists on persistence and never compromising. ‘This is your life – don’t just sign up to the first thing that comes your way.’ She states. ‘And never give up.’
Nisha’s debut, The Metamorphosis, was released in September.

If I Could Do It Over...
As a singer/songwriter/performer for over a decade I know what it’s like to pour your heart, soul, time, and finances into your passion. It’s a dream come true to finally record a project but then what? You have something to say and you want to share it with your friends, family….the world! But how? Trust me, I’ve been there. If only I had someone to make my music available in stores, to submit my music to radio, to help me book shows, to send out promotional material for me. If I had that kind of support not only would it help me with exposure and gaining more opportunities, but I could spend less time worrying about promoting myself and focus more on my music!
These days I’m still writing and singing on occasion, as well as paying off some debts from old cd projects that had promise but no real support. But I’m also focusing more on raising a family and paying the bills. Still, I can’t help but think if I had the support I needed I might have been able to take things to a higher level. That’s why I’m with Tate Music Group now. To help aspiring artists see that they can finally have the support they need in taking their music to the next level. Tate Music Group offers the exact support I was looking for as an aspiring artist and I don’t want you to miss out on the opportunity. Granted, you have to bring the goods. But if you have the sound, the passion, and the work ethic to pursue your goals then Tate Music Group has the resources to help you get there!
Do you take your music and dreams seriously? Tate Music Group does!
